How to Install Plugins on Merlin

Plugins extend the functionality of Merlin significantly. This guide covers installing plugins from the official feed and manually via IPK files.

📦 Install from Official Feed

1. Ensure your receiver has internet connection
2. Go to Menu → Plugins → Green Button (Download Plugins)
3. Browse categories or search for specific plugins
4. Select the plugin you want and press GREEN to install
5. Wait for download and installation to complete

📥 Install IPK Files Manually

1. Download the IPK file for your plugin
2. FTP the .ipk file to /tmp on your receiver
3. Go to Menu → Setup → Software Management → Install local extension
4. Navigate to /tmp, select your IPK file
5. Press GREEN button to install
6. Restart GUI if prompted
