How to Install OSCAM on Merlin

OSCAM is the most popular and powerful softcam for card sharing on Enigma2 systems. This comprehensive guide covers installation and configuration on Merlin.

📥 Step 1: Download & Transfer

Download the correct OSCAM IPK file for your receiver architecture
Use FTP client (FileZilla) to connect to your receiver
Upload the IPK file to /tmp directory on your receiver
Verify the file transferred successfully

⚡ Step 2: Install OSCAM

Go to Menu → Plugins → Install local extension
Navigate to /tmp directory
Select your OSCAM IPK file
Press GREEN button to install
Wait for installation to complete
Restart the GUI when prompted

🔧 Step 3: Configure OSCAM

SSH into your receiver or use file manager
Navigate to /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam/
Edit oscam.conf with your server settings
Edit oscam.server and add your card sharing line
Save the configuration files

Go to Menu → Softcam → Softcam Panel

Check configuration files for syntax errors, verify correct IPK for your receiver.

No channels decrypting:

Verify your card sharing line is correct and the server is online.
